Military Father & Daughter Tea Party - Well, Plus Mother & Children, too :)

Gosh, it's been three months since my last blog. My life has been.. let say.. hectic! :)

I have so much on my plate, from traveling, building and taking care my business back in Indonesia, and also our relocating - yep, we are coming back to the US the end of April.
***sad face***

Anyway, one of the things I wanted to do before I move back to the States is doing one of my favorite sessions, Military Father & Daughter Tea Party. I've been doing this since 2013, I didn't have this session in 2016 though due to someone (a photographer in the US) stealing and using a picture from my Tea Party sessions back in 2014 for her own profit. I was so mad, which made me not wanting to do this session anymore. I got my heart broken.

But I'm alive, life goes on, I need to move on.

Long story short I decided to have this Military Father & Daughter Tea Party sessions for the last time before I move back to the US.

Since I wanted this session to be well-prepared, I talked to Ashley from Summer Design Company who's a client, friend, and also a very talented home designer. Oh goodness, you need to see her house!

It was definitely a right decision to partner with Ashley as we had the same vision.

Below are some images that were taken for our promo shoot.

Look at all these details. Aren't they beautiful?

And we had Ryan and Summer (Ashley's husband and daughter) as our models for our promo photoshoot. Here are few images from theirs.

We immediately launched the sessions after doing the promo shoot. Man was this session popular. It was sold out within a couple hours after we posted it in our local community group. I had no complaint for that! :)

So here are some images from our clients:

Thank you so much for the clients above! It's been a pleasure to work with you all. I hope these moments and images will be treasured forever. Don't forget to print and to hang them on display! ;)

And I'm so sorry for those who couldn't be part of this session. My initial plan was to do more, likely a week before I leave Iwakuni, but I know my limit and really don't want to disappoint you all with super long delays of editing due to my relocating, so sadly I would not have any more Tea Party sessions. But hey, I will have this Military Father and Daughter Tea Party sessions again in the US, just keep your eyes on my Facebook page or this website, especially those who are in the Greater Seattle and surrounding areas :)

Erin & Rena's Seiji No Hi

About three weeks ago, I got a direct message on my instagram from Erin. I was so excited once I knew that Erin (and her friend, Rena) wanted a photoshoot of their coming age of day, 成人の日 (Seijin No Hi), on January 9th in Hiroshima area.

I mean, taking pictures of two beautiful girls in their beautiful-colorful-expensive furisode kimonos? Heck yes! :)

Erin and Rena's Seijin Shiki (coming of age ceremony) was held in Hiroshima Sun Plaza (across Al Park Mall), but the photo session was taken at a cute japanese garden which actually was just next to the plaza.

Check some gorgeous pictures of Erin and Rena below! :)

I started with taking Rena's pictures, while Evany (whom I invited to join this shoot) took Erin's pictures.

And these are few from Erin's!

Gah... Aren't they gorgeous?! And their kimonos are just sooo.. pretty!!!

We, of course, did their both pictures!

And hi-five for officially being an adult! ;)

Thank you Erin, Rena, and Rena's parents! I had so much fun during this photoshoot (I know Evany loved this experience, too!), I hope you guys like the pictures, and I'm looking forward to meet you all back in west coast! :)

The Martin Family | Newborn Lifestyle

It was raining the day we're shooting. I was worried that we wouldn't get good lighting inside the house. But man was I really glad the rain stopped, the sun shined, and we got some amazing natural light.

Here are few sneak peek from The Martins' session. Isn't Ms. Jade gorgeous??? Aaaahhh...

I also got a chance to took few pictures at Ms. Jade's nursery room.

All pictures in this nursery room was taken with Fuji Film XT1 + Fujinon 23mm f/1.4. I'm pretty happy with the outcomes of my new 23mm lens! :)

Don't forget about Freddy, Jade's fur brother :) He's gorgeous and did amazing during the session, which maybe he was thinking that this session was for him. LOL

Oh, love me some gorgeous lifestyle sessions!!! <3

Last but not least, happy holidays for you all! Be safe and hope you all enjoy these wonderful times with your loved ones!

Ms. Paige Rogers | Newborn

I'm currently sitting to blog this session at the Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok, Thailand. I finally get somewhat decent internet connection now after 8 days traveling in Thailand. So I apologize if I haven't replied your messages or emails.

Anyway, I've been wanting to share Ms. Paige's session since forever, but well.. the connection was killing me. LOL

So here you go, the sneak peek from Ms. Paige's. Isn't she adorable? :)

The Hackworth Family | Iwakuni Fall 2016

With my crazy traveling schedule during November I'm so glad that the rain held out until this session done!

This family might be one of the most easiest clients ever, not to mention they are beautiful too!

Here are some images from The Hackworths' session :)

Ryan Bronislaw Larsen II | Newborn

Since the Larsens chose Fresh48 session as their newborn package, so instead in-studio session, the shoot was taken at the hospital and at the nursery room.

Check some images from their session below.

Nine days later, I went to their house to take the lifestyle session. Oh, let me tell you about their house, it's amaaaaazing! It's clean, detail, and well-designed.
I'm jealous! :)

So here are some pictures at the Larsens'..

Oh the grandparents! :)

I also did a quick snaps for Ms. Summer's room...

Siena Loraine DiBlasi | Newborn

Ms. Siena was sooo good during her session!!

I was so happy that I could do all three different sets plus parents shoots in less than 2 hours!

Proofing has delivered, birth announcement cards have ordered, then here are some pictures from Ms. Siena's session..

And those who have been following my newborn sessions or were my newborn clients know exactly that I LOVE babies' details.

And Ms. Siena with mommy and daddy....

Amilia is ONE | Smashcake Session

It's been always a pleasure working with this family. Again, I love how Rachel knew what she wanted this session, and prepared it very well.

This session was taken at one of my fav parks in Iwakuni, Nagayama Park. It's a small yet pretty park, and it's close from the Base!

Anyway, below are few pictures from Amilia's session. What a happy baby girl!

Time to clean up, shall we? :)

This is the only image that I edited with this style as I think this image suits this editing.

Sastri & Rio | Lamaran

I've known Sastri for about 7 years. We first met at one of Indonesian traveling communities, she was at the college that time, and now.. 7 years later, Sastri has her dream job, an aspiring travel journalist :)

Last Saturday, I had a pleasure to capture her "lamaran" day. It's a pretty day; Sastri, Rio (Sastri's fiance), and their family looked happy, and I definitely could feel the love around :)

Lamaran Nikah is literally translated marriage proposal. In Indonesia, a marriage proposal is not only between the man and the woman; it includes their both whole big family. The day of the marriage proposal, two family meet (usually at the soon-to-be bride's house), and introduce each person in the family, either they are attend the proposal or not. After introduce each other, the soon-to-be groom will ask formally to the soon-to-be bride (and her parents) whether she accepts his offer to marry him or not. Most likely at this point the soon-to-be bride will say YES! In lamaran, both family have set the time of tunangan (the engagement day) and the wedding day.

Here are sneakpeek of Sastri & Rio's portraits on their Lamaran Day..

Loving the make up!

This is the time when Sastri finally said, "Ok now I'm nervous.." LOL

Few portraits of both Sastri & Rio...

Don't they look lovely in their Javanese attire??

I'm so sad that I won't be able to attend their wedding day, yet I hope everything goes well until their big day!

Aulia & Guntur | Prewedding Session in Bali, Indonesia

Aulia has booked three months before my visit to my home country, Indonesia. Our original location was in Jakarta, but then Aulia changed her mind when she knew I'll be in Bali for 10 days.

We did their session at three different locations: Aftertaste Coffee & Breakfast (a cute little brunch restaurant owned by my cousin, which actually the decision to choose this location was a last minute thing :) thanks to my dear cousin and her husband), Pandawa Beach, and a random Balinese door (I asked them to do few shots here - I meant, you can find the cafes and the beaches anywhere, but that Balinese door only available in Bali).

Below are only FEW  (from tons) pictures I got for Aulia & Guntur's session.

Aren't they gorgeous??? Those were taken at the Aftertaste Coffee & Breakfast. Now onto those in Pandawa Beach, shall we?!

Yep, be jealous! :) And finally, the last few shots from our last **random** location.. :)

I really can't choose my fav (there are more pictures that I don't post here, btw!), and now you know why! :)

Anyway, I hope you like them as much as I do!

Matur suksma!***

Ooh... I had so much fun working with Luca!

He is a cute and happy baby! And man did he know how to smash the cake! LOL

Below are sneakpeeks from Luca's session. I believe Mom and Dad have difficulties to choose their fav images! :)

And we did more after Luca took a break.. ;)

Nina Stewart | Newborn

I'm a bit behind from blogging as I have so many things on my plate lately, plus I sprained my ankle about three weeks ago and still recovery for it. Some of my friends kept saying that I injured because of my art. LOL

Anyway, Ms. Nina was 6 days old when I took her newborn pictures. Look at some cute pictures of her below!

And of course my fav part of a newborn session, baby details...!

The Fallon Family | Change of Command MALS-12

My third Change of Command this year!

I have to admit this CoC was quite bit challenging because of the location and the time: It was in the open field at 10 a.m (a super bright day!), two things that every photographer tries to avoid, but I'm glad it went well!

Here are some pictures from the CoC MALS-12. And congratulation for The Fallon family!

The Reneau Family | Change of Command

I had an honor to photograph VMFA (AW) 242 Change of Command for LtCol Jabari J. Reneau last Friday, May 13th 2016.

Congratulation again for the Reneau family!
